SAMMY CAIOLA
Sammy Caiola is thrilled to be a new member of Sacramento Contemporary Dance Theatre. She began dancing at age three, in her home state of New York. For the last six years she's been primarily focused on musical theatre, and has performed in various productions around the Sacramento region. She has danced for Jacob Gutierrez-Montoya in two shows, "A Chorus Line" (2016) and "Newsies" (2020).
Sammy has choreographed the annual Empire Arts Collective production of "Once More With Feeling: The Buffy The Vampire Slayer Musical" three times. She is a former Zumba instructor and an avid tap dancer. When not rehearsing, she's often skiing, cycling, or taking a hike with her black lab, Pepper. By day she is a journalist for Capital Public Radio, Sacramento's NPR station.
