Founded with the idea that the medium of dance can bridge a community together, Sacramento Contemporary Dance Theatre embarked on its inaugural journey in 2015 under the direction of Jacob Gutierrez Montoya. SCDT's debut concert, RESILIENCE, provided $12K in funds for the UC Davis Comprehensive Cancer Center in its continuing fight to find therapies and ultimately a cure for this horrid disease.  Through the dedication of a network of artists, directors, and project volunteers SCDT continues to raise funds in support of local nonprofits and community outreach programs.
