​In difficult times, stories that embody the human experience join us together. Our mission to bring the work of local non-profits to the stage has taken on new forms. In this era of distance, we reach out to our community through short films and collaborations with local visual artists. Using the powerful emotion, athletic movement, and sensitivity of our craft to highlight the important issues of our time, from civic engagement to human rights, we strive to build a community of acceptance and awareness. 

Under the creative direction of choreographer Jacob Gutierrez Montoya, Sacramento Contemporary Dance Theatre will continue to showcase a masterful repertoire of modern jazz, ballet, and contemporary dance. Through our dedication to the creative community, we seek to empower a network of engaged artists. The beauty residing within the arts is a beacon that fosters peace and hope for a brighter tomorrow.
