BRENNA MULLIGAN
Brenna Mulligan is a 17 year old dancer born and raised in El Dorado Hills, CA. Her training began at age 10, most of which at Hawkins School of Performing Arts. She has spent the last 8 years devoted to her intense dance training in the styles of contemporary, jazz, modern, ballet, pointe, improv, lyrical and acrobatics. Through various dance competitions, Brenna has earned scholarships to Art of Movement, Fluid Dance Convention as well as placed first overall at Art of Movement, third overall at Move Dance Competition, and a choreography award at Fluid Dance Convention. She has also shared the victory of dancing in the grand prize winning number of the Palm Desert Choreography Festival in 2019. Her professional experience includes being a dancer for the Polar Express in 2019, and currently holds an assistant teaching position at Hawkins. Throughout her training, she has had the pleasure of working with choreographers Melissa Jackson, Teddy Tedholm , Mike Esperanza, Jessie Riley, and Marguerite Derricks to name a few.
In her freshman year of High School, Brenna began training with Sacramento Contemporary Dance Theatre as an apprentice, while also being a company member on Hawkins Contemporary Jazz Company. Her journey began with SCDT not only for her love of dance, but for the opportunities to make an impact on her community and raise awareness of current issues. Next fall, Brenna is planning on pursuing her Bachelor’s Degree of Fine Arts in Choreography.
