Being true to oneself is not always the easiest path in life.  Societal norms can confine us and make us fear rejection in one way or another.  Sacramento Contemporary Dance Theatre encourages people to be brave enough to live a life that celebrates the love we have for humanity in all walks of life, fighting discrimination based on belief, race, gender, social status or expression of self.  We all have the right to be loved and cared for by others, and we all need to be brave enough to love ourselves.
LGBTQ youth are extremely susceptible to suicide.  Many find themselves alone without the support of their family.  Having resources and a support system greatly reduces the risk.  If you know someone you feel is at risk, please encourage them to visit the links below.
