HANNAH BIELCIK
In 2006, Hannah Bielcik fell in love with dance at the Hawkins School of Performing Arts in Folsom, California. She has trained with and performed the choreographies of many notable master teachers and choreographers including Marguerite Derricks, Norbert de la Cruz, Jason Martin, Teddy Tedholm, Mike Esperanza, Jessie Riley, Melissa Jackson, Francisco Gella, Cesar Salinas and Nan Giordano, and has trained at Los Angeles Center Studios in both acting and commercial dance. Hannah is grateful to have had the opportunity to dance with Sacramento Contemporary Dance Theatre from its inception in 2015. From the Mock Turtle, Cheshire Cat and Sir John in SCDT's collaborations with Davis High School Orchestra's Alice and Robin Hood, to the emotionally challenging role of an unaccepted daughter coming out to her family in SCDT's production of OUT, Hannah has been blessed to work with and learn from her incredible dance family. One of her fondest memories is the summer she spent in New York City training at Peridance, Gibney, STEPS and Broadway Dance Center with her Pre-professional Hawkins Contemporary Company. Under the direction of Artistic Director and Choreographer Jacob Gutierrez-Montoya, Hannah participated in the International Choreography Festival in Palm Desert, California for five consecutive years, and was a dancer in three of the festival's grand prize winning ensembles: Juliet in 2015, Glory in 2017, and When the Dark Moves in 2019. Hannah has been in numerous dance productions around the Sacramento Region and was in the ensemble cast of Sutter Street Theatre's award winning production of "In The Heights." Currently, Hannah is an assistant for a national dance convention, and in the fall, she plans to pursue a career in the arts in Southern California. Hannah would like to thank her family, instructors, and directors for their constant support.
