EMALEE FLORES
Emalee Flores found her love for dance at age two after her mom enrolled her in a ballet class at a local studio in Roseville. Since then, she has continuously trained in ballet under the direction of teachers such as Felicia Flores, Norine Brown, Ariana Lordge, Pat Colgate, and Anne Merino. Along the way she was inspired to try other styles of dance, and she discovered a true passion for contemporary while dancing at Studio 65 under the instruction of Jayden Russell who taught her how to emotionally connect and move with intention. During her dance career she has trained and competed in all styles and won numerous awards in many regional and national dance competitions. Along the way she has had the opportunity to work and perform with groups such as Placer Theater Ballet, Chadash Contemporary Dance Movement, and Nhan Ho Project. She joined SCDT in 2019 after graduating high school. She is currently attending Folsom Lake College majoring in biology. She is grateful for the chance to work with all the brilliant artists of this amazing company while doing important, meaningful work through the stories the company shares. She would like to thank all of her current and former teachers for their support and direction and for helping her become the dancer she is now.
