CHRISTINA HOLMES
Christina fell in love with dance at the age of seven years old. Training in forms such as jazz, ballet, tap, and contemporary, she hasn’t stopped since. Coming to Hawkins School of Performing Arts at age thirteen, she became a member of Jacob Gutierréz- Montoya’s contemporary jazz youth company (HCJC) and danced with them for all of her high school years.
While on HCJC, Christina participated in many conventions, competitions, as well as worked with choreographers such as Teddy Tedholm, Jason Martin, Jessie Riley, and Marguerite Derricks. Her favorite performance was “When The Dark Moves” by Jacob Gutierréz- Montoya, in the Palm Desert International Choreography Festival in Palm Desert, California. Christina has been an apprentice for the past two years in Sacramento’s Contemporary Dance Theater, performing in 2019’s production of “OUT” and 2020’s “Behind The Apron”.
Currently studying at Folsom Lake College, Christina is thrilled for this season as a member of SCDT and to be dancing within her community!
