MEGAN GREENE
Megan Greene is a 16 years old dancer from Folsom, California and has been dancing for 13 years. She has been studying at Hawkins School of Performing Arts for 10 years training in ballet, pointe, jazz, contemporary, hip hop, and tap and is a member of both the Hawkins Contemporary Jazz Company and the Hawkins Classical and Contemporary Ballet Company. Megan has worked with many guest choreographers including Marguerite Derricks, Jessie Riley, Jason Martin, and Mike Esperanza. She has attended many conventions and competitions, receiving a number awards for her hard work. Megan has performed in several shows with Hawkins School of Performing Arts under the direction of Jacob Gutierrez Montoya and Deirdre Hawkins. Megan is proud that she was a dancer in the grand prize winning number of The Palm Desert Choreography Festival in 2019. To broaden her intensive training and passion for the art form, Megan joined Sacramento Contemporary Dance Theatre this season. She is currently dancing as an apprentice after being a guest dancer in multiple SCDT shows and events in the past. Megan loves that with SCDT, she can combine her love of dance with projects that make an impact in her community.
